On 28 June, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with Kenji Sanada, Executive Director of ‘Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.’ This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The guest congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the second anniversary of the city of Arkadag and conveyed greetings from Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. He also noted the importance of the April visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan and Turkmenistan's success at the ‘Expo 2025’.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, emphasising the importance of sustainable trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and Japan. Special attention was paid to the role of ‘Kawasaki’ in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the country.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his readiness to consider proposals from the Japanese side in the field of innovative technologies. At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged best wishes.
