On 3 September, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Italy T. Komekov held a meeting with Italy's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister and International Cooperation E. Cirielli. The negotiation was held at the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry and focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed prospects for the development of relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and scientific-cultural fields. Particular attention was paid to the preparation of an exhibition of unique artefacts from ancient Margiana and Nisa, which will be held at the Capitoline Museum in Rome. The exhibition will include valuable finds discovered by joint Turkmen-Italian archaeological expeditions.
The meeting also discussed the organisation of the President of Turkmenistan's visit to Italy in 2025 and the holding of events with the participation of the heads of relevant departments of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and exchanged wishes for peace and prosperity for the peoples of Turkmenistan and Italy.
