A meeting between the Consul General of Turkmenistan, Guvanchmyrat Atayev, and the Head of the Iranian Foreign Affairs Office, Ahmad Masoomifar, was held in Mashhad (Iran). This was reported by IIC.

During the meeting, Mr. Atayev presented his counterpart with a copy of his consular patent, officially commencing his duties.

The parties noted the steady development of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Iran. They discussed priority areas of cooperation, including the expansion of trade and economic ties, the implementation of joint projects, the use of transit potential, and the development of transport corridors.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and confirmed the parties' intention to continue strengthening good-neighbourly relations and strategic partnership.
