Negotiations between Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Executive Vice President of South Korea's ‘Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd’ Cho Seung-Il took place on 17 September 2025. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The discussion focused on the development of cooperation in key sectors of the economy. Particular attention was paid to the project to build a mineral fertiliser production complex at a chemical plant in Turkmenabat. The Korean company's participation in the creation of a modern medical cluster in Arkadag was also discussed.

The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening their partnership and implementing new joint initiatives in priority sectors of the Turkmen economy. At the conclusion of the meeting, they confirmed their readiness to further expand effective cooperation.
