On 5 June, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted talks between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Governor of Gansu Province of the PRC Lei Siwei. The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation within the framework of strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and China. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to humanitarian cooperation, noting the successful experience of interaction in the spheres of education and culture. It was emphasised that interest in studying Chinese in Turkmenistan continues to grow - more and more students choose Chinese universities for education.

During the talks, the sides confirmed mutual interest in further development of long-term mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Gansu Province in scientific, educational and cultural spheres.
