On 25 May, Turkmenistan will host three significant events at once: the Capital Day, Turkmen Carpet Day and celebrations to mark the end of the academic year. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the upcoming holidays. This was reported by the IIC.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasised that Ashgabat has created all the necessary conditions for life and cultural development of citizens. The traditional international exhibition ‘White City Ashgabat’ will reaffirm the status of the capital as an important business and cultural centre.

Special attention will be paid to the celebration of the Turkmen Carpet Day. 'Our carpets contain centuries-old wisdom and history of the people,' the President stressed, referring to the upcoming exhibitions that will introduce the world to the unique carpet art of Turkmenistan.

Special congratulations were extended to school graduates, for whom the ‘Last Bell’ will ring. The President confirmed the continuation of state support aimed at further development of the capital and preservation of traditional carpet making.
