In the context of global digitalization, the training of highly qualified IT specialists with modern technological skills and project-based competencies is becoming a key factor in economic development. This is reported by the information agency “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Within the framework of the partnership between the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan (ITIT) and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN), a summer industrial internship for Turkmen students in Romania is being held from June 21 to July 13.
The program is implemented on the basis of an inter-university agreement and is aimed at transitioning from theoretical education to project-based work in a real IT environment. It involves selected senior students and lecturers from ITIT.
The internship includes laboratory training and work at enterprises, as well as individual mentoring from university and industry specialists. The main focus areas are artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, robotics, and web development.
Students also undergo internships at Bosch, Emerson, and Tenaris, where they work on applied IT tasks.
Upon completion of the program, participants apply the acquired skills in academic and research projects, while lecturers integrate the experience into educational curricula. The cooperation contributes to training specialists with international competencies for Turkmenistan’s digital economy.
