The Turkmenistan Basketball Federation (TBF) has registered eight candidates to participate in the FIBA Table Official Licensing 2026 international program. This was announced by the federation’s press service, according to the news website Turkmenportal.

The program provides training and licensing for specialists responsible for maintaining game records, monitoring game time, operating the 24-second shot clock, and coordinating with the officiating crew. Obtaining a license confirms the specialists’ qualification to work at official competitions under the auspices of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

The FBT noted that the training of candidates is aimed at expanding the pool of Turkmen specialists at the international level, including referees, coaches, and technical staff. This work is being carried out as part of the development of national basketball and the training of personnel in accordance with FIBA standards.
