On 30 July, a new avenue and a modern bridge were officially opened in the city of Arkadag. The event was attended by government officials, members of the public and creative groups. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.
It was symbolic that at the moment of the ceremony, the plane of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, was flying over the city on its way to the Balkan velayat.
The reconstructed bridge connecting Gokdepe Avenue and Keymir Kor was built by Turkmen contractors. It is 627 metres long and 29.5 metres wide, including pedestrian and green areas. The bridge and adjacent roads meet modern standards, ensuring safe traffic flow.
The opening was accompanied by festive events: performances by artists, the release of balloons and pigeons, a wedding procession and a festive motorcade.
The new Keymir Kor Avenue and transport infrastructure built in the city of Arkadag are part of a large-scale programme to develop the urban environment. The architectural design, landscaping and modern lighting emphasise the harmony and innovative approach to construction.
According to participants, these projects reflect the priorities of state policy aimed at improving the quality of life and sustainable development of the regions.
