The Turkmenistan national team successfully completed its performance at the ju-jitsu championship

The Turkmenistan jiu-jitsu team achieved excellent results at the 20th Balkan Open Championship, which took place in Athens from 11 to 14 September. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

On the last days of the tournament (13–14 September), Turkmen athletes successfully competed in the ‘Ne-Waza’ and ‘No-Gi’ disciplines.

In the ‘Ne-Waza’ section, gold medals were won by Soltanmyrat Nuryev (62 kg), Shyhberdi Rahmanov (69 kg), Bagtyyar Myradov (77 kg) and Rahat Kurbanov (85 kg, master group). Silver medals went to Alyshir Jumamyradov (62 kg), Islam Ovezov (69 kg) and Eziz Yollyev (85 kg). Bronze medals were won by Islam Rejepov (62 kg), Dayanch Kullyev (69 kg) and Annagurt Amanmyradov (77 kg).

In the ‘No-Gi’ discipline, Islam Rejepov (62 kg) and Islam Ovezov (69 kg) became champions. Silver medals went to Suleyman Nuryev (62 kg), Dayanch Kullyev (69 kg) and Eziz Yollyev (85 kg). Bronze medals went to Soltanmyrat Nuryev (62 kg), Shyhberdi Rahmanov (69 kg), Oguldursun Azimova and Annagurt Amanmyradov (85 kg).

In total, the Turkmenistan team won 38 medals: 14 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze, confirming the high level of training of its athletes.
