President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili on May 7 during her visit to Turkmenistan. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The guest conveyed greetings to the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, from Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. She noted that Tbilisi highly values the current level of bilateral relations.

The President of Turkmenistan thanked her for the kind words and emphasized the importance of the latest meeting of the Turkmen-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, in which the Georgian delegation is participating.

During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between the two countries is developing on the basis of equality and mutual respect. Interaction is carried out both bilaterally and within the framework of the United Nations, where the sides support each other’s initiatives.

Trade and economic partnership remains a key area of cooperation. The parties highlighted the results of collaboration in energy, industry, and healthcare. Particular attention was paid to transport and logistics. Turkmenistan is expanding the infrastructure of international transport corridors. In this context, the importance of the Caspian Sea–Black Sea, Lapis Lazuli, and Green Port projects was emphasized.

The interlocutors also underscored the role of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties. At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides confirmed their interest in further enhancing Turkmen-Georgian cooperation and exchanged best wishes.
