On November 4, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in strengthening peace, security and sustainable development in the region, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

During the meeting, they reviewed current areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Regional Centre, upcoming events and opportunities to expand regional cooperation.

Special attention was paid to Turkmenistan's initiatives at the UN, aimed at strengthening international peace and trust, developing a culture of peacemaking and promoting constructive dialogue.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing the partnership, including through the implementation of joint programmes and events.
