On June 26, 2025, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng, who is completing his diplomatic work in the country. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties summed up the results of many years of fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and China. They noted significant achievements in the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres, as well as successful cooperation in international forums, including the UN. Rashid Meredov thanked the Chinese diplomat for his personal contribution to strengthening Turkmen-Chinese ties and wished him success in his future professional endeavours.

Ambassador Qian Naicheng, in turn, thanked the Turkmen side for its comprehensive support and creation of favourable conditions for work throughout the period of his diplomatic mission.
