On 23 October, Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, held a telephone conversation with Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, noting the high level of political and diplomatic relations.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation within international organisations, primarily the UN.

In addition, the parties discussed preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held on 12 December in Ashgabat in honour of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and International Neutrality Day.
