Ashgabat will host the international conference TESC 2025 dedicated to environmental solutions for oil and gas industry on 5 June as part of the World Environment Day. This is reported by the Internet publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.
Turkmenistan, having joined the Global Methane Pledge at the COP28 summit, confirmed its intention to reduce methane emissions by 30 per cent by 2030. This initiative reflects a strategic focus on the introduction of advanced emission control technologies in hydrocarbon production. In the run-up to the conference, expert discussions will be held with the participation of international organisations. Representatives from the UN, UNICEF and UNDP will address the transition to green energy, while oil and gas industry experts will present innovative approaches, including the use of artificial intelligence to optimise production from mature fields.
The large-scale event will be attended by leading international experts, including representatives of the UN and SPE, as well as Turkmen specialists from government agencies and academia. The conference will emphasise Turkmenistan's role as a responsible participant in the global energy market, combining industrial interests with environmental commitments.
