Suray Bayryyeva, a third-year student at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Ecology of Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University, is undertaking a year-long exchange programme at Tohoku University in Japan. She is deepening her knowledge of her specialist subjects and preparing to take part in research projects, the news agency "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports.

At Tohoku University, Bayryyeva studies at the School of Engineering under the guidance of the university’s lecturers and researchers.

The opportunity to study abroad follows her strong academic performance, research work and active involvement in the student life of her home university.

The practical component of the programme will allow Bayryyeva to explore modern research methods and apply her knowledge in an international academic environment. Her studies cover fields related to engineering, biotechnology and ecology.

Tohoku University is located in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. The university offers international students the opportunity to study for one or more semesters and participate in research activities.

Bayryyeva’s participation in the exchange programme supports her professional development and creates further opportunities for academic cooperation between universities in Turkmenistan and Japan.
