President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Uzbekistan on 16 November for a state visit. The Head of State was seen off at Ashgabat International Airport by officials, according to the online news resource TerraNews.

In Tashkent, the President of Turkmenistan was met by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral cooperation based on common cultural and spiritual values, as well as historical traditions of friendship and support.
