Turkmenistan has become a key transit hub for Russian and Uzbek citizens leaving Iran amid the escalating situation in the region. Officials from the diplomatic departments of both countries have announced coordinated measures to organise a land corridor, according to IIC.

To coordinate transit with the Turkmen side, Russians must send a package of documents in advance to the Russian diplomatic mission in Iran.

Employees of the Uzbek diplomatic mission are organising a meeting with compatriots directly at the border in the city of Serahs. The embassy's motor transport in Ashgabat is being used to ensure prompt and safe transit.
