By the end of 2025, a ‘digital attaché’ will begin work in Ashgabat — a representative responsible for promoting Russian IT solutions in Turkmenistan. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakyev and Minister of Communications Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev.
D. Grigorenko noted that over the past five years, the number of accredited IT companies in Russia has exceeded 20,000, and the industry is showing steady growth. Among the export destinations are language models, search engines, marketplaces, antivirus solutions, delivery services, and government IT platforms.
Digital attachés are now working in 19 countries, including China, the UAE and Argentina, helping to promote Russian software and radio-electronic products. According to Grigorenko, the opening of a similar representative office in Turkmenistan will strengthen the technological partnership between the countries.
