Rashid Meredov's visit to Georgia gave new impetus to bilateral relations

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov arrived in Georgia on an official visit. As part of the visit, on 21 October 2025, he met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed key areas of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in a multilateral format, primarily within the framework of the United Nations.

The Georgian Prime Minister noted the constructive nature of relations between the two countries, emphasising the importance of his visits to Turkmenistan and meetings with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which have made a significant contribution to strengthening bilateral partnership.
