The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on 14 May the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates, Director General of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Al Sayegh. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The UAE representatives expressed gratitude for the opportunity of the meeting and emphasised the special importance of developing friendly and partnership relations with Turkmenistan. They also conveyed to Serdar Berdimuhamedov greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In turn, the President of Turkmenistan warmly greeted the guests and sent greetings back to the UAE top leadership. The head of state expressed confidence that concrete agreements would be reached during the visit to boost bilateral cooperation.

The meeting focused on co-operation in the fuel and energy sector. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of bilateral partnership in this area and noted the successful implementation of joint projects with leading UAE companies. The head of state reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to further develop co-operation with ADNOC.

In addition, it was noted that several projects have been implemented in Turkmenistan in recent years with the participation of financial and investment institutions from the United Arab Emirates.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan reaffirmed his intention to continue consistent expansion of constructive dialogue and interaction with the UAE, wishing the guests success in their work.
