In order to provide Turkmenistan's agrarians with necessary phosphate fertilisers and develop the chemical industry, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on signing a contract with South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. It is reported by the state news agency TDH.

According to the document, the State Concern ‘Türkmenhimiýa’ is authorised to sign an agreement with a foreign partner for the design and construction of a production complex on the basis of Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A.Niyazov.

The complex will annually produce 350,000 tonnes of superphosphate and 100,000 tonnes of ammonium sulphate.
