The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Batyr Rejepov, held a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Astana, Sarango Radna. This was reported by the online publication Arzuw News.
The parties discussed the results of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), held on 5-8 August in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN and the role of the forum, which coincided with the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN.
During the conference, key issues of the global economy and prospects for their resolution were discussed. Following the meeting, the diplomats exchanged views on possible joint initiatives, emphasising that the results of the forum create new opportunities for the development of international transport links.
