New Slovenian ambassador accredited in Turkmenistan

On 16 June, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, accepted the credentials of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan, Alenka Suhadolnik. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

On behalf of the Head of State, the Speaker of the Mejlis congratulated the diplomat on her appointment and wished her success in developing bilateral relations. In response, the Ambassador conveyed greetings from the Slovenian leadership and best wishes to the Turkmen people.

During the meeting, the priorities of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy were discussed, including the course towards expanding cooperation with European countries. The parties noted the importance of further dialogue between Turkmenistan and Slovenia.

In conclusion, A. Suhadolnik thanked for the warm welcome and expressed readiness to actively contribute to strengthening the partnership.
