Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, emphasised the importance of female leadership and equality in modern society in her speech at the conference ‘The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development’ in the ‘Awaza’ National Tourist Zone. According to S. Mirziyoyeva, several years ago, key decisions in the country were made mainly by men.

‘Now the situation is changing: sometimes it takes just a few steps to see the changes,’ said S. Mirziyoyeva.

The Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan stressed that women's leadership is a necessity in modern society, and mutual support among women plays a key role in promoting equality.

S. Mirziyoyeva expressed her gratitude to the women who are already paving the way to equality and called for these efforts to be continued for the sake of future generations. The speech focused on the importance of equal opportunities, strengthening women's leadership and the role of women in the social and professional development of the country.
