The presentation of Mamed Huseynov's piano album ‘Six Children's Pieces’ in Moscow was a significant event for strengthening cultural dialogue between Turkmenistan and Russia. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.

As part of the IX ‘Sounds of the Dutar’ Festival, the album, which includes works from both the early and mature periods of the composer's career, was presented in the music room of the A.N. Skryabin Memorial Museum.

The virtuoso performance of pianist Maria Buyanova, who managed to reveal the artistic potential of Huseynov's music to the fullest, gave the event a special atmosphere.

The album is accompanied by vivid illustrations by artist Kossekmurad Nurmuradov and an introductory article by musicologist Yulia Jumayeva, making it valuable not only from a musical but also from an aesthetic point of view.

‘Six Children's Pieces’ opens up new opportunities for young performers and makes a significant contribution to the popularisation of Turkmen academic music on the international stage.
