Turkmenistan's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 6.3% in January–September 2025. These figures were announced on 3 October at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, according to the state news agency TDH.
According to a report by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, positive dynamics were recorded in all major sectors of the economy. The largest growth was shown by the transport and communications sector (+10.8%), trade (+9.6%) and services (+8.4%). Construction increased by 7% and agriculture by 5%.
Industrial production for the period increased by 10% compared to last year. Retail trade turnover increased by 13.2% and foreign trade by 8.5%. In addition, the average salary at large and medium-sized enterprises rose by 11.8%.
After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the government to take measures to maintain sustainable GDP growth.
