‘Kawasaki’ expands industrial cooperation with Turkmenistan

Tomohiro Takashina, Director of ‘Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.’s Representative Office in Turkmenistan, announced at the CIET 2025 conference that the company is ready to begin the second phase of construction of a plant to produce environmentally friendly gasoline from natural gas. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.

According to Tomohiro Takashina, the existing GTG-1 plant in the Ahal velayat has become an example of successful cooperation and produces Euro 5 standard fuel, which is in demand in the markets of neighbouring countries and Europe.

He stressed that Turkmenistan's neutral status and economic stability, as well as its rich natural resources, create favourable conditions for international business.

The company representative added that, building on the success of the GTG-1 project, ‘Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.’, together with ‘Rönesans’ and ‘ITOCHU’, intends to implement the construction of a new GTG-2 complex, which will contribute to strengthening economic ties between Turkmenistan and Japan.
