On 29 June, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Turkish leader congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him good health and success, noting his significant contribution to strengthening friendship between the countries, and conveyed greetings to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In turn, the Hero Arkadag emphasised the fraternal relations with Turkey and noted the development of cooperation based on friendship and common values.

The interlocutors noted the strategic nature of the bilateral dialogue, supported by linguistic and cultural ties, as well as regular visits and consultations between the governments.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the President of Turkey for his personal contribution to the development of relations.

At the end of the conversation, the leaders exchanged wishes for health, success and prosperity to the peoples of both countries.
