The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke at the Turkmen-French Economic Forum. The Hero-Arkadag outlined the priorities of bilateral partnership. This is reported by the state news agency TDH.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled that Turkmenistan adheres to the policy of permanent neutrality enshrined in the UN General Assembly resolution. In connection with the fact that 2025 is declared the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust’, the Turkmen side invited representatives of France to take part in relevant events.

Special attention was paid to Turkmenistan's relations with neighboring countries, including Iran and Afghanistan, as well as to the dialogue with the European Union, including within the framework of the Central Asia-EU format.

In his speech, Hero-Arkadag noted the existence of a favourable investment climate and the implementation of national development programmes until 2030 and 2052. The National Leader of the Turkmen People emphasised the importance of cooperation with French companies such as Cifal, Bouygues, Vinci and Schneider Electric.

Energy, environmental technologies, geological exploration, tourism and personnel training were named among the priority areas of partnership. It was also proposed to hold a regular meeting of the joint working group on energy issues in 2025.

In conclusion, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed Turkmenistan's interest in further expansion of mutually beneficial co-operation with France.
