The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the coaches, athletes of the football team ‘Arkadag’ and their fans on the victory in the Asian Football Confederation Challenge League. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Hero-Arkadag emphasised that this success was a significant contribution to strengthening the international prestige of Turkmenistan. The address noted that the Arkadag team, created in 2023, has achieved high results both at the national and international levels, demonstrating a high level of training and skill.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out that within the framework of the state policy aimed at popularising a healthy lifestyle, all conditions are created for the development of sports. Special attention is paid to the education of physically and spiritually developed young generation.

It was also reported that at the team's request the money prize won at the international tournament was decided to be used for the construction of a new building of the State Children's Library named after Bazar Amanov.
