On 23 July 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of San Marino, Luca Beccari. During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as issues of interaction in multilateral formats. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Special attention was paid to preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), which will be held in Turkmenistan in August. The sides exchanged views on key aspects of the upcoming forum.

As noted in the statement, the diplomats expressed mutual interest in further strengthening partnership relations, including within the framework of international organisations.

The telephone talks were a continuation of the dialogue between Turkmenistan and San Marino, demonstrating the desire of both countries to develop constructive cooperation on pressing issues on the international agenda.
