On 9 May, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Russian Federation on a working visit to participate in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The visit is carried out at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is reported by the state news agency TDH.

The head of state was accompanied by officials at the International Airport of Ashgabat.

Upon arrival in Moscow, the presidential board landed at the Vnukovo-2 International Airport, where the President of Turkmenistan was met by representatives of official circles.

After the protocol meeting, the President's motorcade proceeded to the Kremlin, where he met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The leaders exchanged greeting handshakes, after which they took a photo together.

Then the President of Turkmenistan, among other heads of State and delegations arriving in Moscow to participate in the anniversary celebrations, headed to the Central Tribune on Red Square.

The participation of the President of Turkmenistan in these commemorative events is a symbol of respect for the common heroic past and a confirmation of Turkmenistan's unwavering commitment to the ideals of peace, humanism and historical memory.
