From 22 to 24 October, Ashgabat will host the International Conference and Exhibition ‘Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan’ (OGT 2025) and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the forum. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.
The event is organised by the State Concerns ‘Türkmengaz’ and ‘Türkmennebit’, the State Corporation ‘Türkmengeologiýa” and ‘Turkmen Energy Forum’. More than 1,000 delegates from 60 countries and over 300 companies are expected to attend, reflecting Turkmenistan's growing role in the global energy sector.
A special feature of OGT 2025 is its focus on innovation and strategic dialogue. The programme includes four round tables: two, jointly with SPE, will be devoted to new technologies, digitalisation and innovation in production and exploration, while the other two, supported by ‘S&P Global Commodity Insights’, will discuss global trends, investments and regional cooperation.
The forum will also serve as a platform for discussing sustainable energy development and investment prospects in Central Asia.
With an increase in the number of participants and companies (45% more than last year), Turkmenistan confirms its status as a strategic partner for international investors. OGT 2025 will bring together business, academia and politics, providing a platform for discussing key issues for the future of global energy.
