The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Khoja Ovezov, took part in an event dedicated to the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which was held in Kabul. The meeting was organized by the UN-Habitat office and the Embassy of Azerbaijan. Diplomats and representatives of international organizations participated in it, the IIC reports.
In his speech, Khoja Ovezov spoke about Turkmenistan’s cooperation with UN-Habitat. He highlighted state initiatives aimed at developing urban infrastructure and creating an environmentally sustainable urban environment.
The ambassador also emphasized the country’s commitment to introducing innovative solutions in urban planning.
As part of the event, information about the city of Arkadag was presented. Participants were shown the experience of implementing a project based on the concepts of a “smart city” and “green” technologies. A photo exhibition and video presentation dedicated to the city’s digital infrastructure and environmental standards were also held.
