The President of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, has congratulated the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence. This was reported by the news agency TDH.

In his congratulatory message, he highlighted the friendly and constructive nature of relations between Latvia and Turkmenistan, as well as the potential for further developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Rinkēvičs also highlighted the expansion of cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia, which, he said, creates new opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the regions.

The President of Latvia wished Turkmenistan peace, prosperity and stability.
