The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has announced the imminent start of the fourth phase of development of the ‘Galkynysh’ gas field. The announcement was made during the groundbreaking ceremony for a new settlement in the Ymambaba village of the Yoloten etrap in the Mary velayat, according to TDH.

The Head of State noted that priority is being given to the development of the Mary velayat. Construction and commissioning of industrial enterprises, as well as cultural and social facilities, are continuing in the region.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that work on the comprehensive development of the regions will be consistently continued. Among the key tasks are the construction of modern facilities and the establishment of new production facilities aimed at improving the standard of living of the population.
