The delegation of Turkmenistan, which included representatives of the State Statistics Committee, the Central Bank and the State Customs Service, is on a visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.
According to the source, the visit was organised within the framework of a joint project of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan and the UN Development Programme ‘Support in Improving Statistics of Foreign Trade in Services, as well as in Improving Statistical Information on the Volume of Passenger and Cargo Transportation’.
Within the framework of the visit the delegation visited the Centre for Development of Trade Policy ‘QazTrade’, where it got acquainted with its work, its role in the formation of export policy and support of foreign economic activity. There was also an exchange of views on further cooperation in the field of statistics.
In addition, the Turkmen delegation visited the National Information Technologies JSC (NIT JSC), the operator of the e-government infrastructure of Kazakhstan. Here they studied the experience of using digital technologies in data management and their application in government statistics.
