Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan Ata Akmammedov took part in the 45th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which was held from 11 to 12 May in Kuwait. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.
According to the source, the event, which was attended by International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach and newly elected IOC President Kirsty Coventry, brought together representatives from about 45 Asian countries.
The event focused on the development of sports in Asia, including youth training, gender equality, promotion of Olympic values and improving the management of sports organisations.
