During his working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The central topic of discussion was the further development of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia. The news was reported by ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The Russian President expressed sincere gratitude for the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the XVI International Economic Forum ‘Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2025’, stressing the importance of this event for strengthening international cooperation. Vladimir Putin also conveyed warm greetings to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

For his part, Hero Arkadag congratulated the Russian leader on the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan. During the conversation, both sides noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations based on the principles of mutual trust and strategic partnership. Special attention was paid to the successful cooperation within the framework of international organisations and prospects for further deepening of interaction in key areas.
