A meeting of the heads of the ministries of education of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia took place at the “Yildiz” Hotel in Ashgabat. Participants discussed the development of regional cooperation, the harmonization of higher education standards, and the expansion of academic mobility, according to the IIC of Turkmenistan.

One of the key topics was the digital transformation of education. The ministers considered the prospects for creating a regional electronic library and integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process.

Special attention was given to the development of network universities, joint educational programs, and mechanisms for recognizing academic achievements. These initiatives are designed to facilitate student and faculty exchanges, as well as expand opportunities for obtaining dual degrees.

As part of the meeting, the foreign delegations visited the Turkmenistan Carpet Museum and learned about the country’s cultural heritage.

Following the talks, the parties identified further steps to strengthen their educational partnership. It is expected that these joint initiatives will expand opportunities for young people to receive a quality education and train specialists in the fields of digital technologies, engineering, and robotics.
