The 26th conference of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens was held in Ashgabat, attended by representatives of diasporas from foreign countries and all regions of Turkmenistan. Participants listened to a welcoming message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who noted the key role of the Association in uniting the Turkmen world and preserving national identity. During the forum, the results of the work were summarised and priority areas of activity were identified for the organisation, which is represented by 27 branches in 15 countries. Delegates learned about the successes of Turkmenistan's socio-economic development and major international projects.

Following the conference, an award ceremony was held to present members of the Association with certificates of honour. The cultural programme included an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and performances by cultural masters.
