The Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan organised a reception to mark Victory Day and Azerbaijan's National Flag Day. The event was attended by Turkmenistan's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmet Gurbanov, according to the online news resource TerraNews.

In his speech, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismat Gozalov noted Turkmenistan's contribution to the construction of a mosque in the city of Fizuli and expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for supporting the initiative.

In turn, Ahmet Gurbanov congratulated the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on their national holidays, emphasising the long-standing friendly relations and positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation.
