Over 4 million tonnes of cargo passed through the Turkmenbashi port in six months

In the first half of 2025, the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port handled 4 million 209.5 thousand tonnes of cargo. This was reported by the online publication ‘Business Turkmenistan’.

Of this volume, 2 million 608 thousand tonnes fell on dry cargo berths, and 1 million 601.5 thousand tonnes on oil and oil product transhipment. In terms of transport structure, exports amounted to 2 million 91.68 thousand tonnes, imports – 620.803 thousand tonnes, and transit – 569.605 thousand tonnes.

The main destinations for cargo traffic remain Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The development of port infrastructure, the introduction of electronic document management and the provision of convenient services to customers enable the Turkmenbashi Port to strengthen its position as a key link in the international transit corridors connecting Asia and Europe.
