On 15 July 2026, the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan adopted a Resolution to convene a session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the online news site AsmanNews.

According to the document, the session will take place on 23 September 2026 in Ashgabat at the ‘Maslahat köşgi’ Palace.

The Halk Maslahaty of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat must submit to the Secretariat of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, by 1 September 2026, lists of public representatives to be included in the composition of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan from the velayats, the city of Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag.

The Resolution was signed by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
