A Turkmen journalist took part in an international press tour held from October 28 to 30 in the Chinese city of Wuxi and surrounding areas of Jiangsu Province. The event was organized as part of the CIPCC–2026 educational programme and brought together representatives of foreign media to explore regional projects in the digital economy, high technology, sustainable tourism and the preservation of traditional crafts, reports the news agency “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The programme included visits to industrial enterprises, tourist attractions, cultural venues and exhibition centres. Participants learned about regional initiatives in digital economy, high technology, eco-tourism and the preservation of traditional crafts.

Journalists visited the Baishili bicycle service centre on the shore of Lake Taihu, established in a former industrial building, as well as the “Nianhua Xiuyuan” cultural event dedicated to Wang Wei, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Organizers used drones and digital technologies to showcase the poet’s literary heritage.

On the second day of the press tour, participants explored the developments of Puyin Information Technology, a company working on a database for artificial general intelligence (AGI) and AI algorithms. The journalists also visited a theme park dedicated to Chinese traveller Xu Xiake and a ceramics workshop in Yixing, where traditional techniques for making Zisha clayware are preserved.

On October 30, the programme continued in the ancient town of Huishan, located along the Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal. The final stop was the exhibition pavilions of the 2026 World Internet of Things Expo in Wuxi, which showcased modern technological developments and regional projects.

The press tour gave foreign journalists an opportunity to learn about Jiangsu Province’s development in digital technology, industry, tourism and cultural heritage preservation.
