87 social facilities will be built in Turkmenistan by 2028

Turkmenistan is implementing a large-scale social infrastructure development programme until 2028. According to the national programme adopted on 11 July 2025, 87 important facilities will be built within three years, including medical institutions, educational centres and public utilities. This was reported by IIC.

The list of construction projects includes four hospitals, 12 polyclinics, 17 kindergartens and 32 schools. Particular attention is being paid to the modernisation of public utilities, with plans to build 12 water treatment plants and six sewage treatment plants. At the same time, modern engineering infrastructure will be created with extensive water supply networks, gas pipelines and power lines.

In the Ahal velayat, 19 facilities will be built and 850 km of water pipelines will be laid. The Balkan velayat will receive 14 new facilities, including two hospitals, 19 social facilities will appear in the Dashoguz velayat, and the Lebap and Mary velayats will receive 16 and 18 facilities, respectively.

The programme also includes the development of the transport network, the construction of expressways and the improvement of telecommunications systems. These measures are aimed at comprehensively improving living conditions in the country's regions.
