The head of state warmly welcomed the head of Petronas and expressed confidence that the visit would strengthen bilateral relations. The President of Turkmenistan recalled his visit to Malaysia in December last year and noted that the talks with Petronas will give a new impetus to the development of partnership. Special attention is paid to the development of cooperation in economy, trade, transport, energy, education and culture. The main vector of Turkmen-Malaysian cooperation is trade and economic, where Petronas plays a key role, especially in the fuel and energy sector. The company has been involved in hydrocarbon production and training projects for almost 30 years. The President of Turkmenistan confirmed readiness to consider new proposals to expand co-operation. The head of Petronas expressed gratitude for the trust and assured of further fulfilment of obligations. At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised readiness to strengthen partnership for the benefit of both countries and expressed best wishes to Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik.

15.05.2025The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on 14 May the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates, Director General of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Al Sayegh. This was reported by the state news agency TDH. The UAE representatives expressed gratitude for the opportunity of the meeting and emphasised the special importance of developing friendly and partnership relations with Turkmenistan. They also conveyed to Serdar Berdimuhamedov greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In turn, the President of Turkmenistan warmly greeted the guests and sent greetings back to the UAE top leadership. The head of state expressed confidence that concrete agreements would be reached during the visit to boost bilateral cooperation. The meeting focused on co-operation in the fuel and energy sector. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of bilateral partnership in this area and noted the successful implementation of joint projects with leading UAE companies. Turkmenistan expands scientific cooperation with Germany within the framework of the ‘CA 5+1’ dialogue

At the meeting, organised on the initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the parties discussed mechanisms for strengthening links between science and industry. The 7th Central Asia Conference on Climate Change concluded in Ashgabat
15.05.2025The 7th Central Asia Conference on Climate Change (CACCC-2025), which brought together representatives of the region's countries and international organisations, concluded in Ashgabat. During the two-day work, the participants developed common approaches to solving urgent environmental problems, paying special attention to the issues of transboundary landscape restoration and combating land degradation. Turkmen businessmen are invited to the international fair "Sughd-2025" in Tajikistan
