The main vector of Turkmen-Malaysian cooperation is trade and economic, where Petronas plays a key role, especially in the fuel and energy sector. The company has been involved in hydrocarbon production and training projects for almost 30 years. The President of Turkmenistan confirmed readiness to consider new proposals to expand co-operation. The head of Petronas expressed gratitude for the trust and assured of further fulfilment of obligations. The UAE representatives expressed gratitude for the opportunity of the meeting and emphasised the special importance of developing friendly and partnership relations with Turkmenistan. They also conveyed to Serdar Berdimuhamedov greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In turn, the President of Turkmenistan warmly greeted the guests and sent greetings back to the UAE top leadership. The head of state expressed confidence that concrete agreements would be reached during the visit to boost bilateral cooperation. The meeting focused on co-operation in the fuel and energy sector. Turkmenistan expands scientific cooperation with Germany within the framework of the ‘CA 5+1’ dialogue

The 7th Central Asia Conference on Climate Change concluded in Ashgabat

The 7th Central Asia Conference on Climate Change (CACCC-2025), which brought together representatives of the region's countries and international organisations, concluded in Ashgabat. During the two-day work, the participants developed common approaches to solving urgent environmental problems, paying special attention to the issues of transboundary landscape restoration and combating land degradation.
