The World Women Entrepreneurs Forum (WWEF) is being held in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar on 25-26 August under the patronage of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. The event brought together more than 200 participants from 25 countries, including a delegation from Turkmenistan, which included well-known representatives of women's entrepreneurship in the country. All members of the delegation are active participants in the Union of Women of Turkmenistan, one of the country's largest public organisations, which plays an important role in the implementation of reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and continued by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The forum is being held under the slogan ‘Inspire – Impact – Invest,’ focusing on expanding women's participation in the economy, investment and digital transformation of business. The programme includes panel discussions, seminars, B2B meetings and an exhibition-fair of products made by women entrepreneurs, with the participation of more than 140 small and medium-sized companies.
On 25 August, an important bilateral document was signed at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan. Representatives of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China concluded a Cooperation Agreement aimed at promoting greater interaction in the economic and scientific-technical spheres. The document was signed by Rashid Meredov, Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, and Ji Shumin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan. The agreement aims to exchange accumulated experience and discuss issues related to the practical implementation of advanced innovative solutions in leading sectors of the economy. The agreement provides for the intensification of partnership between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China in the field of technical and economic cooperation, which will contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
Telecom International Asia-2025 (ITCN Asia) is the largest technology event in the region, which will take place from 23 to 25 September in Karachi (Pakistan). On 22 August, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University, and Xi'an Shiyou University held a video conference on the ‘Lu Ban Workshop’ project in Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the purchase and delivery of equipment, the work plan for the second half of 2025, and agreed to complete the laboratory by September and open the centre by the end of the year. In Turkmenistan, there are plans to build a plant for the production of iodine, bromine and bromine-containing products based on the West Cheleken deposit (Hazar site) with the modernisation of the raw material base of the Balkanabat iodine plant. From 20 August 2025, citizens of Turkmenistan will no longer need to make an appointment in advance to submit documents for a student visa to Turkey, according to the IIC of Turkmenistan. To apply for a visa, you must provide a letter of admission from a Turkish university or other document confirming your student status. This innovation is intended to simplify and speed up the visa application process, making it more convenient for applicants from Turkmenistan. There are currently 209 universities in Turkey offering more than 45,000 educational programmes to foreign students.

Turkmenistan has joined the list of countries whose representatives will take part in the international youth language camp ‘Summer with Pushkin’. The programme, organised by the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute and the ‘Russkiy Mir’ Foundation, will take place in Moscow from 24 August to 6 September 2025. This was reported by the IIC. Out of 435 applicants from 35 countries, the organisers selected only 20 of the most talented and motivated students who demonstrated a deep interest in the Russian language and culture. As emphasised by the institute's rector, Nikita Gusev, the project aims to support gifted foreign students and help them not only improve their language skills but also learn about the history and culture of modern Russia. Over the course of two weeks, participants will enjoy intensive practical Russian language classes, a rich cultural programme with excursions to historical and literary sites in Moscow, and cultural and educational events.
Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of air transport, business contacts and tourism. This was reported by the news website Asmannews. Turkmenistan will build a mosque in the city of Fizuli (Azerbaijan) as a gift. The final day of the exhibition included concerts for children, performances by entertainers and a robot competition. The exhibition reinforced its status as one of the region's major events in the field of children's goods and services, leaving visitors with many vivid impressions.
The EU Delegation to Turkmenistan has launched a ‘Back to School’ campaign, a charity initiative for children with disabilities and families in difficult circumstances. In cooperation with the organisations ‘Keyik Okara’ and the Centre for Support of People with Disabilities in Turkmenistan, 50 children received school kits.
