On 12 June, the Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology held a ceremony to award the winners of a scientific research competition. The competition, organised by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation, brought together young scientists, students, teachers, and employees of research institutes and industry organisations, according to the state news agency TDH. During the event, a musical composition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality was performed. The Office of the United Nations High Representative for the Least Developed Countries and the International Trade Centre will hold a Private Sector Forum for Landlocked Developing Countries as part of the Third United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LLDC3), which will take place from 5 to 8 August 2025 in Baku. On 22 June, Pakistan will send its first freight train to Russia, which will pass through Turkmenistan on the eastern branch of the North-South International Transport Corridor. A delegation from the ‘Türkmendemirýollary’ agency, led by Chairman Azat Atamuradov, took part in the 82nd meeting of the CIS Council on Railway Transport, held on 10–11 June in Dushanbe. Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on the results of a scientific competition among young people in Turkmenistan, which officially approved the results of the annual scientific competition dedicated to Science Day. In the International Year of Peace and Trust, drillers from the Ekerem drilling department of the ‘Nebitgazburawlaýyş’ trust of the ‘Turkmennebit’ State Concern are demonstrating steady success, marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality with significant labour achievements. Since the beginning of the year, they have drilled 19,500 metres of underground rock and completed the drilling of two wells with industrial potential. On 5 July, violinist Bahram Doliev will give a solo concert at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theatre in Ashgabat, according to the IIC of Turkmenistan. The programme includes works by Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Sarasate, Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as compositions by Turkmen composers Nury Halmammedov and Rovshen Nepesov. He will be accompanied by the ‘Camerata Ashgabat’ chamber orchestra conducted by Eziz Jumaniyazov. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. It promises to be a spectacular event, combining European classical music and Turkmen musical tradition.
